The order number written to Alembic is the same as we use in memory, so
the +1 wasn't needed, at least according to the reference Maya exporter
maya/AbcExport/MayaNurbsCurveWriter.cpp, function
MayaNurbsCurveWriter::write(), in the Alembic source code.
Furthermore, when writing an array of nurb orders, the curve type should
be set to kVariableOrder, otherwise the importer will ignore it.
This test checks that a set of cubes are exported with the correct
transform, both with flatten=True and flatten=False.
This commit also adds an easy to use superclass for upcoming Alembic
unit tests.
The absence of datablock properties "will certainly be resolved soon as the need for them is becoming obvious" said the [[http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/2.67/Python_Nodes|Python Nodes release notes]]. So this patch allows Python scripts to create ID Properties which reference datablocks.
This functionality is implemented for `PointerProperty` and now such properties can be created with Python.
In addition to the standard update callback, `PointerProperty` can have a `poll` callback (standard RNA) which is useful for search menus. For details see the test included in this patch.

Using line-width of 120
Utility to get a file/dir in the path by index,
supporting negative indices to start from the end of the path.
Without this it wasn't straightforward to get
the a files parent directory name from a filepath.
This is to be used from the Outliner, when dragging and dropping
collections from the Active Render Layer
It also includes a cleanup on the outliner so it calls the new
functions. Note: the outliner still needs fix to allow all the
functionality here exposed.
But this will be tackled by Julian Eisel later.
This was causing blender to segfault.
We now add create a new collection and link to the layer before adding
the new object
(also included unittests, and requires updated lib/tests)
test_evaluation_visibility_a failed before, but it is now fixed
test_evaluation_visibility_b passed before and was used as control to make sure it was not broken
Some tests may break Blender, which makes the entire unittest routine to fail.
They are now I isolate the tests into individual files

Works similar to regular Cycles tests, just does OpenGL render to
get output image.
Seems to work fine with the only funny effect: Blender window will
pop up for each of the tests. This is current limitation of our
OpenGL context. Might be changed in the future.

A little note about them. Original Blender code would try to keep them
in sync through the code, juggling flags back and forth. This will now
be handled by Depsgraph, keeping Object and Bases more separated
throughout the non-rendering code.
Scene.base is being cleared in doversion, and the old viewport drawing
code was poorly converted to use the new bases while the new viewport
code doesn't get merged and replace the old one.

Currently the tests don't run on windows for the following reasons
1) render_graph_finalize has an linking issue due missing a bunch of libraries (not sure why this is not an issue for linux)
2) This one is more interesting, in test/python/cmakelists.txt ${TEST_BLENDER_EXE_BARE} and ${TEST_BLENDER_EXE} are flat out wrong, but for some reason this doesn't matter for most tests, cause ctest will actually go out and look for the executable and fix the path for you *BUT* only for the command, if you use them in any of the parameters it'll happily pass on the wrong path.
3) on linux you can just run a .py file, windows is not as awesome and needs to be told to run it with pyton.
4) had to use the NAME/COMMAND long form of add_test otherwise $<TARGET_FILE:blender> doesn't get expanded, why? beats me.
5) missing idiff.exe for msvc2015/x64 in the libs folder.
This patch addresses 1-4 , but given I have no working Linux build environment, I'm unsure if it'll break anything there

Made them closer to how GTest shows the output, so reading test logs
is easier now (at least feels more uniform).
Additionally now we know how much time tests are taking so can tweak
samples/resolution to reduce render time of slow tests.
It is now also possible to enable colored messages using magic
CYCLESTEST_COLOR environment variable. This makes it even easier to
visually grep failed/passed tests using `ctest -R cycles -V`.
This test should ensure we correctly detect all invalid utf-8 sequences in a given string.

- scripts that execute directly need to include their basedir in the sys.path
- modules which are in a directory without an __init__.py weren't importing.
Behavior is similar to python's set.pop(), it removes and returns a 'random' entry from the hash.
Notes:
* Popping will return items in same order as ghash/gset iterators (i.e. increasing
order in internal buckets-based storage), unless ghash/gset is modified in between.
* We are keeping a track of the latest bucket we popped out (through a 'state' parameter),
this allows for similar performances to iterators when iteratively popping a whole hash
(without it, we are roughly O(n!), with it we are roughly O(n)...).

Regression from rB2dba2b3d71d9781bce45. Do not understand why MSVC needs this convoluted
allocation (looks like broken compiler crap?), but at least let's do it correctly!
Unfortunately this doesn't make all tests compilable due
to all sort of weird and wonderful bad levels includes
on Windows (G referenced from bf_blenlib) but at least
allows to selectively build tests for now.
While SCons building system was serving us really good for ages it's no longer
having much attention by the developers and started to become quite a difficult
task to maintain.
What's even worse -- there started to be quite serious divergence between SCons
and CMake which was only accumulating over the releases now. The fact that none
of the active developers are really using SCons and that our main studio is also
using CMake spotting bugs in the SCons builds became quite a difficult task and
we aren't always spotting them in time.
Meanwhile CMake became really mature building system which is available on every
platform we support and arguably it's also easier and more robust to use.
This commit includes:
- Removal of actual SCons building system
- Removal of SCons git submodule
- Removal of documentation which is stored in the sources and covers SCons
- Tweaks to the buildbot master to stop using SCons submodule
(this change requires deploying to the server)
- Tweaks to the install dependencies script to skip installing or mentioning

- Tweaks to various helper scripts to avoid mention of SCons folders/files
as well

mat3_polar_decompose gives the right polar decomposition of given matrix,
as a pair (U, P) of matrices.
interp_m3_m3m3 uses that polar decomposition to perform a correct matrix interpolation,
even with non-uniformly scaled ones (where blend_m3_m3m3 would fail).
interp_m4_m4m4 just adds translation interpolation to the _m3 variant.
Extensions such as ".tar.gz" are now also supported. Before this patch,
ensure_ext('demo.tar.gz', '.tar.gz') would return 'demo.tar.tar.gz'.
This results in issues with the `ExportHelper` mix-in class; clicking
an existing file in the file dialogue warns about overwriting it
(highlighting the input box in red), but then saves to a different
file.
Also added a unit test for the new behaviour.

Note that we could replace our python/mathutils' EXPP_FloatsAreEqual() by BLI's compare_ff_relative
(using a very small absolute max_diff), but these do not have exact same behavior...
Left a comment there for now, we can do it later if/when we are sure it won't break anything!
Performance tests now have their own CMake macro, which ensures they do not get
added to ctest list, so we do not have to bother about them anymore, and can always
build them (when GTests are enabled, of course).
Alternative to T32894, simple test which creates new data and compares with RNA defaults.
Can be used to keep the values in sync without having to maintain a large set of defines.
We could likely add much more, but those already covers basic behavior and should be able
to catch most errors when editing this code.
Also added some performances tests as well (timing ghash insert/lookup under heavy loads,
for different kinds of keys).
Added conversion to and from exponential map representation. This
representation is useful for interpolation of > 2 quaternions, or in
PD controllers.
Implementation in C functions quat_to_expmap,
quat_normalized_to_expmap, and expmap_to_quat with Python API, unit
tests and documentation.
Added Quaternion.to_exponential_map() and Quaternion(3-vector) to
Python API.

Forcing tests to success is really bad idea. It'll only lead to cases when
you see PASSED and will think everything is OK.
Long story short: never force tests to pass!
Recent addons commit meant that addons would be enabled even if they weren't found.
This would give an error (which is fine), but also remove from preferences.
The idea is to use the set of really small images from the lib folder
and run Cycles render on them comparing render output to reference
images in the tests repository.
For sure same thing could become more generic for BI or Freestyle
render engines.

Too many contrib addons are in an unstable state making the test not so useful.
Thanks to Sergey initial patch: D1012, redid mostly - but outcome is the same.
`BLI_strncpy_ensure_pad()` is also useful with current master code.
The two others (`BLI_strcmp_ignore_pad()` and `BLI_filelist_duplicate()`)
are only used in asset branch currently, but think they could be useful
in other places too, and simplifies handling of asset branch & future patch review.

Main purpose of this is to bring new gflags library which is more likely
to have a fix for undefined order of static variables initialization and
also to bring new glog where some compilation error are fixed (which are
only visible with more strict checks with clang and c++11 enabled).
Murmur2a is a very fast hashing function generation int32 hashes.
It also features a very good distribution of generated hashes.
However, it is not endianness-agnostic, meaning it will usually generate
different hashes for a same key on big- and little-endian architectures.
Consequently, **it shall not be used to generate persistent hashes**
(never store them in .blend file e.g.).
This implementation supports incremental hashing, and is a direct
adaptation of reference implementation (in c++):

Collection of test cases from libGDX and our own tracker
Tests:
- combine triangle area matches polygon area.
- tris have same winding.
- tris don't have duplicates.
- correct number of internal & boundary edges.
- degenerate polys still give topologically correct output.
also checks all possible start-vert offsets, forwards and backwards.
optional OBJ output, for debugging.
Those two mimic our BLI invert_m4_m4_safe - they add a small offset to diagonal values,
in case org matrix is degenerated, and if still non-invertible, return identity matrix.

Now always check for a default unit, and evaluate the whole expression in this "unit space".
Not an ideal solution, but should handle most cases nicely
(we can't address all possible corner cases anyway).
Note default unit is searched in current string first (bigger unit of current system wins),
then in previous string.
Note this also replaces ',' by '+' in default separation between units,
helps solving issues with parenthesis (e.g. (1'1")*2.5 would fail in existing code)!
This would break if someone uses py ops with lower precedence than '+' (like bitwise
operations, and comparison), but these are not expected usecase here anyway.

Also remove sanity check in BLI_stack_pop, assert if the stack is empty.
Needed to make the blender link libraries a global property
now that tests are parallel to source directory.
Current sort order for blender link libraries doesn't work
for tests that start with few defined symbols. Doubling the
lib list works, but a TODO to find a better way (probably
using CMake's own mechanism for tracking dependencies).
